As the third T20 match between Ireland and India was primed to unfurl at The Village, Malahide in Dublin at 7 PM IST today, a twist of fate took centre stage as rain asserted its presence, putting a temporary hold on the highly awaited game.

The toss was delayed due to a persistent drizzle, leaving fans on the edge of their seats, hoping for a break in the weather. With the clock ticking and the skies laden with uncertainty, everyone is left in a state of anticipation, questioning whether the match will come to life amidst the sporadic downpour.  In this chaos, BCCI recently posted an update stating that the rain has not stopped and if it continues beyond 9:15 PM IST, the overs would start to reduce.

Here’s the tweet:

With the rain still falling at Malahide, the situation doesn't seem too optimistic. As per the, weather radar predictions, the rain might continue until 10:00 PM IST. Moreover, there are also rumours that the latest time for the match to start is 11:17 PM IST.

With India having firmly established an insurmountable advantage by triumphing in the initial two T20 encounters, their objective of achieving a clean sweep in the series was crystal clear. The emerging talents within the Indian squad were enthusiastic to showcase their skills on the global arena, and we can only hope that the rain doesn't act spoilsport and the game begins soon.

The ongoing series hasn't been free from the clutches of rain. The first T20I encounter faced disruptions due to showers, leading to a tight win for India by a mere 2 runs, determined by the DLS method. Luck was on their side once more in the second T20I, where bright sunshine paved the way for a full match, ending in India's victory with a comfortable 33-run lead.
