Rohit Sharma, the captain of Team India, and Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar revealed the 17-member Indian squad for the Asia Cup on Monday.
After the team member announcement, Rohit, known for his bold and hilarious responses, had a funny reply to a journalist who asked him a question about the experimenting and flexibility of players. In his response as visible in the video down below, he says 'Yeh Pagalpanti Nahi Karte hum'.

During the press conference, Rohit discussed the batting positions and team flexibility. He stated that they want any player in the team to be able to bat at any number. Flexibility is needed in the team.
Rohit mentioned that for the past 3-4 years, every player has been told this. He said that no one should tell anyone in the team that they are good at a specific position. They want players who can bat at any number as per the team's need.
He emphasized that this is international cricket, not school cricket. Players should be ready to play at any position based on the team's requirements. He said that they don't want players who can only bat at one number. Since the 2019 World Cup, many players have tried to cement their place at the number 4 position in the team, but they have failed.
Regarding adjusting the batting positions of batsmen, Rohit said that he wants players at the 4th and 5th positions to be able to bat slightly higher or lower than their designated position. Rohit mentioned that the batting position is only adjusted slightly up or down. It's not like an opener would be sent to bat at the 8th position directly. We don't engage in such madness. The position is tweaked slightly. It's not like causing chaos.
