The third T20I between Ireland and India has started off on a bleak note with rain making its presence felt at The Village, Malahide in Dublin. The toss has been delayed as a result and the fans around the cricketing world have to wait a bit longer before they see some exciting action in this final game of India's tour of Ireland.

India have taken an unassailable lead in the series by winning opening two games and they would be eyeing a whitewash with their young guns itching to impress on the big stage. For Ireland, this game is an opportunity to salvage some pride in front of their home crowd, and let’s hope that cricket takes the centrestage soon and our not-so-beloved friend, rain finds another place to chill and enjoy this Wednesday.

Interestingly, the first T20I was also hampered by rain, but India were lucky to get away with a win by 2 runs on account of the much-debated DLS method. In the second T20I, though, teams were greeted with bright sunshine, and we had a full game where India managed to beat the Irish by 33 runs. It is an important series for many Indian players who are on the fringes, and they would hope to get a chance to showcase their talent in this final game.

It is an historic day for India as ISRO's Lander - Vikram has made a soft landing on Moon's South Pole - becoming the first country in the history to do so. Let's see how the cricket team goes about its business on this historic day for the country.
