What happened in IND vs BAN 2nd Test Day 1?

Challenging conditions and interruptions marred the first day of the second Test between India and Bangladesh at the Green Park Stadium. Due to overnight rain, Bangladesh lost an hour of play, and the game started delayed. Bangladesh had to bat on an overcast day, and the Indian bowlers pegged them back subsequently, making it a challenging task for Bangladeshi openers.

Zakir Hasan struggled hard through his innings as Akash Deep bowled him without scoring even a run after facing 24 deliveries. On the other hand, Shadman Islam gave resistance with some good cut shots to score 24 runs before going out to Akash Deep yet again. Then, Mominul Haque and skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto added a 51-run stand for the third wicket, but Ravichandran Ashwin broke that partnership with Shanto's wicket for 31.

Mushfiqur Rahim walked in at number five along with Mominul, who was on 40. The second session could not go on as bad light prevailed, and the rain forced match officials to declare early stumps, restricting Bangladesh to 107/3 after only 35 overs of play on Day one.
