Day 2 of the ongoing Test match between India and Bangladesh at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur, has been officially abandoned without a ball being bowled due to persistent rain and bad weather. 

The day began with continuous morning showers that showed no signs of stopping, that forced both the teams to return to their hotels early, even before the official announcement was made. 

The rain-soaked outfield and wet conditions made it impossible for the ground staff to prepare the pitch in time for any play. Compounding the issue, the drainage system at Green Park Stadium has been a known problem, making it harder for the groundsmen to drain the excess water.

Day 1 was already affected by rain, with the match starting an hour late.Despite this, Bangladesh managed to reach a score of 107/3 by the close of play. After a steady start, Bangladesh's innings was interrupted by some fine bowling from India's Akash Deep and Ravi Ashwin.

The weather is forecasted to improve from Day 3 onwards, with only light showers expected on Sunday morning, followed by clear skies. However, with two days already lost due to rain, it will be challenging for either team to force a result in the remaining time. 

Full play is anticipated on the final two days, but the teams will have to adopt an aggressive approach to make up for the lost time and push for a result.

On Day 2, the game was called off due to rain and unplayable conditions, however it is important to mention that the weather for Day 3 looks slightly promising for the Green Park Stadium, Kanpur. 

According to the reports of accuweather.com,  the temperature will be around 34°C, with a real feel of about 41°C. The humidity level is expected to be around 64% making the conditions slightly difficult for the players. 

The wind is expected to blow at a speed of 9 km/h, gusting up to 22 km/h. Cloud cover is around 75% in the morning and 51% in the afternoon. There is chance of rainfall with 59% probability of precipitation. Along with rainfall, there is 14% chance of thunderstorms that likely interrupt the match.
