Bangladesh spinner, Mehidy Hasan Miraz used his sharp skills and deceived Shubman Gill with a brilliant off-break in the second innings of the Kanpur Test. Gill was looking in ominous touch, but one sharp delivery got the better of him.

The event occurred in the 5th over of the game, when on the fourth delivery, Mehidy bowled a fuller length ball and Gill went for a slog sweep, which he failed to execute. On the very next ball, Mehidy showcased his skill and trapped Gill lbw.

Mehidy played with Gill's mind to trap him

The Bangladesh spinner pulled his length back and bowled a good length ball, allowing it to turn a bit more. Gill hung back and failed to get a bat to it as the ball trapped him on the front-leg. Gill went for a review, but the ultra-edge showed no spike as the India batter had to walk back to the pavilion.

When you bowl a fuller-length delivery, the ball doesn't turn much, but when a bowler delivers a length ball, it allows the ball to grip and turn more, thus allowing the bowler to have more control of the matters.

India seal the series 2-0

This will arguably be the greatest Test match played by India. Only 35 overs were bowled on Day 1, and Day 2 and 3 were washed out due to relentless rain and wet outfield. So, basically India had just 2 days to churn out a result, which they did.

In India's first innings, they batted at a strike-rate of more than 8 and that opened the game for the Indian side. The Indian bowlers skittled Bangladesh for a mere 146 in the second innings, meaning they only needed 95 to win, and they achieved the target rather easily.
