Heinrich Klaasen Goes Berserk! SRH Batter Slams Joint-Second Fastest Fifty In IPL 2025

Eyebrows were raised when Heinrich Klaasen came out to bat at number 3 instead of the in-form Ishan Kishan, but the Proteas batter turned doubters into admirers as the batter went berserk against Kolkata Knight Riders and smacked the joint second fastest fifty in the IPL 2025 season.

The batter reached the landmark in just 17 balls and joined hands with RR's Vaibhav Suryavanshi as both the stars reached the figures in 17 deliveries. The record of the fastest fifty this season is being held by RCB's Romario Shepherd - 14 balls.

Klaasen storm blows away KKR bowlers

The opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head laid the foundation for a big score as the duo added 92 runs in no time and laid a foundation for a big score. Hence, with Abhishek departing, SRH played a punt and decided to introduce Klaasen at number 3.

The batter went berserk right from ball one as boundary floodgates opened and he reached the fifty-run mark with 5 fours and 4 sixes to his name.

Fastest fifties in IPL 2025

Shepherd holds the record of the fastest fifty as the power-packed batter hammered CSK a few weeks ago and reached the landmark inside 14 balls. Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the RR batter also has a 17-ball fifty and he recorded it against GT and in the same game he went onto score his maiden IPL hundred.

Klaasen, on the other hand will try and convert it into a big score as SRH eye a huge total against KKR.
