The second Test between India and Bangladesh is underway at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Rohit Sharma won the toss, and the hosts opted to field first.  Persistant rain and bad light abandoned play on day 1 as The Tigers are 107/3 after 35 overs.

India started positively as Akash Deep striked twice and got wickets of both openers. Bangladesh were reduced to 29/2 after 12 overs but Mominul Haque and skipper Najmul Shanto stitched a crucial 51-runs stand for the 3rd wicket. The two were cruising towards an extensive partnership before Ravichandran Ashwin provided the vital breakthrough and got rid of Bangladeshi's skipper.

On the 5th ball of the 29th over, Ashwin bowled a full-length delivery that was a slider and hit Shanto's pads. The Bangladeshi skipper took a review, but it went in vain, as the replay showed the ball hitting the middle stump.

India vs Bangladesh: Rishabh Pant's Key Advice For Shanto's Wicket

In the latest developments, a video has been going viral on the internet, and Rishabh Pant has grabbed the headlines for his vital role in Shanto's wicket.

Notably, Ashwin bowled a fuller delivery before the wicket-taking delivery, which Shanto defended well. Meanwhile, speaking in Hindi, Pant asked Ashwin to pitch the ball upwards. The right-arm off-spinner obliged and got Shanto's wicket on the very next delivery.

R Ashwin Surpasses Kumble To Script New Milestone

Ashwin is having a tryst with records, as the right-arm off-spinner, took a solitary wicket in the first innings and with that he went past Anil Kumble to script new record. It was Ashwin's 420th wicket and now is the 2nd leading wicket-taker in Asia only behind Muttiah Muralitharan.
