Tungabhadra Warriors clinched the 2025 Andhra Premier League by outclassing Amaravati Royals in a high-scoring cracker. CR Gnaneshwar and Gutta Rohit hogged the limelight with the bat for the Warriors by smearing match-defining 60s.

Hanuma Vihari’s 51, Pranith’s Fiery Start Pushes Royals To 194

Batting first, Amaravati Royals carted a monumental 194-7 from 20 overs. Captain and opening batter Hanuma Vihari belted 51 runs from 37 balls at the top with four boundaries and a six, and shared a quick 70-run partnership alongside firebrand Manyala Pranith inside the powerplay.

After Pranith was cleaned up by Cheepurapalli Stephen (2-43) at the end of the sixth over, Tungabhadra Warriors clawed back into the game with a sequence of key wickets, with KV Sasikanth unfurling the spell of the innings through fighting figures of 3-37.

Gnaneshwar, Rohit 60s Seal The Deal For Warriors

Chasing 195, Tungabhadra Warriors lost captain and opening batter Kommineni Maheep Kumar for just three courtesy of Bandaru Ayyappa’s opening spell. Kumar’s opening partner CR Gnaneshwar counterattacked with a fiery 66-run knock from just 45 balls, while number three Gutta Rohit bludgeoned 63 off 28 with three boundaries and seven towering sixes during their match-defining 95-run partnership.

M K Datta Reddy also made a swift 12-ball 25 before unbeaten Kancherla Anand Josiah (14*) and KV Sasikanth (7*) sealed the deal for Tungabhadra Warriors with two overs and five wickets to spare to lift the 2025 Andhra Premier League title.
