In a remarkable achievement, veteran Pakistan seamer Mohammad Amir became the second bowler from his country to bag 400 wickets in T20 cricket. Amir attained the phenomenal landmark during Trinbago Knight Riders' recent CPL 2025 match against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.
Amir Completes 400 T20 Wickets In CPL
After securing a narrow 12-run win over St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Trinbago Knight Riders locked horns with Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in their second league-stage match of the Carribean Premier League.
Although TKR lost the match by a slim margin, Amir etched his name in history books, becoming only the ninth bowler to register 400 wickets in T20s. His 400th scalp was Fabian Allen, whom he dismissed for 45 runs in the 19th over. More importantly, he became just the second bowler from Pakistan to enter the elite club of bowlers in the shortest format.

Left-arm pacer Sohail Tanvir is placed third with 389 scalps, while Imad Wasim and Shahid Afridi occupy the fourth and fifth spots, respectively, having bagged 375 and 347 wickets.
Overall, Mohammad Amir hasn't had a great CPL season so far, managing two wickets in as many matches at an ordinary economy rate of 10.38. Talking about the game, Amir finished with figures of one for 32, with ABF scoring 167 in 20 overs. In response, the Knight Riders were restricted to 159 for six, losing the thriller by eight runs.
