Ben Duckett is a supremely fit athlete and he proved his class in the ongoing Big Bash League clash. Playing for Melbourne Stars against the Adelaide Strikers, the English opener pulled off a miraculous catch to dismiss opposition batter, D'Arcy Short.

Duckett is known for his fitness prowess and in the ongoing clash, he stunned the entire crowd with a superhuman catch which sent shockwaves everywhere. D'Arcy Short was playing extremely well and was the lone warrior for the Strikers.

He was batting well at 60 and threatened to take the game away from the stars before Duckett arrived at the scene. Peter Siddle bowled a fuller length ball outside the off and Short smashed it with full power. The ball travelled quickly and Duckett had less than a second to react.

However, the BBL debutant leaped in the air and stuck his right hand out to grab perhaps the catch of the decade.

Duckett dismissed for duck on BBL debut

After witnessing the highs, Duckett also saw the lows of a cricket match in the ongoing clash. He was the hero of the first innings, courtesy of a stunning catch, but he soon became the villain as he was dismissed for duck on his BBL debut.

Matthew Short came round the wicket and bowled a length ball which straightened after pitching. Duckett missed it as the ball copped a blow on his front leg and the batter was dismissed on the first ball that he faced.

The Stars need 166 to win the match and there is still plenty of firepower left with Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell in the side.
