Almost every Indian cricket fan, especially Rohit Sharma fans knows how forgetful the Indian skipper is with his vocabulary and terms. His iconic 'Arre Woh' has been a feed for the meme culture now with people celebrating the captain for his playful and joyous nature.
In a recent interaction, Pakistan cricketer Imam-ul-Haq shared an incident where Babar Azam helped Rohit get back his phone and accessories twice in the 2023 World Cup captain's meet.
Imam Reveals How Babar Helped Forgetful Rohit
Calling Rohit 'a personality of a different level', Imam shared on Ultra Edge Podcast how Babar elaborated on the hilarious incident where he helped Rohit get his lost items. During the captain's meeting, Rohit misplaced his new iPhone and AirPods multiple times, and was frustrated and embarrassed.
'‘Oh my God, you haven’t met him, he’s a personality of a different level. He completely forgets where he kept his gloves and bats. Babar tells me about an incident — do you remember there was a captain’s meeting and these guys went in a plane? — he had bought a new iPhone and AirPods. He said we were talking and he first left his iPhone here, then in the plane, and then his AirPods every two minutes. Then, he was cursing himself, what am I doing, I keep forgetting things," added Imam.
Imam then added that Babar Azam took note of his panic-stricken behaviour and got hold of his phone and accessories and returned them to him.
"[Babar] said twice he took his phone saying, ‘Rohit bhai, ye apna phone rakhlein’ (Rohit bhai, please keep your phone). He even had to call his manager that he left his AirPods. He’s very forgetful," added Imam.
The forgetful nature of Rohit has not been a surprise since Virat Kohli shared how Rohit usually loses things. Virat Kohli spoke about it in an interview in 2017. Kohli admitted that he had never seen anyone else as forgetful as Sharma. Kohli further revealed that on several occasions, he had even forgotten his passport, which had proven to be very difficult to retrieve.
Meanwhile, both Rohit and Kohli have not been at their best in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy and will be looking to turn their form around in the fourth Test in Melbourne on December 26. The series is currently tied 1-1 after the third Test at the Gabba, and the Boxing Day Test could provide a crucial advantage for both India and Australia.
