Young batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi hammered a 36-ball century, registering the second-fastest ton by an Indian in List-A history. While Bihar registered the highest team total in List-A history (574 for six), Jharkhand had a memorable outing against Karnataka, with Ishan Kishan showcasing his power-hitting.
After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Karnataka had a great start to the game, as Vidyadhar Patil dismissed Utkarsh Singh early in the innings. Although Shikhar Mohan and Shubh Sharma couldn't convert their starts into significant scores, Virat Singh and Kumar Kushagra set the platform for Jharkhand with fighting fifties before Ishan Kishan finished things off in style.
Coming at number six, Ishan Kishan hammered the Karnataka bowlers to all parts of the ground, completing his hundred inside 33 deliveries.
Had he breached the three-figure mark two balls earlier, Kishan would've recorded the fastest ton as an Indian in List-A cricket. Nevertheless, he went on to claim the second place on the list, surpassing Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
