England outclassed Ireland in the third T20I to clinch the three-match series. Jordan Cox belted a match-defining half-century after bowlers Liam Dawson, Jamie Overton and Adil Rashid restricted the Irish to a moderate total.

Here, we take a look at the entire highlights of the third T20I of the three-match series between Ireland and England, as it panned out at the Village in Malahide, Dublin on Sunday, September 21.

Gareth Delany Trades Blows With ENG Bowlers

Ireland batted first and formed a competitive 154-8 in 20 overs, with Gareth Delany providing the slog-overs impetus through his explosive 29-ball 48* with four fours and three huge sixes. Opening batter Ross Adair (33 off 23) and number three Harry Tector (28 off 27) also scored crucial runs at the top after the loss of captain Paul Stirling to Liam Dawson inside the powerplay.

Dawson added another wicket to his tally in the form of Harry Tector to claim figures of 2-9, while Jamie Overton ran through the English middle-order by getting rid of Lorcan Tucker and Curtis Campher in his four-over spell. Adil Rashid claimed three key wickets, all in the backend of the innings to unfurl the spell of the game with figures of 3-29.

Jordan Cox Overcomes Early Setback To Steer ENG To Big Win

England lost senior man Jos Buttler for a two-ball duck to Barry McCarthy (1-22) in just the second over of the run-chase. Captain Jacob Bethell made 15 off 11 but failed to make the most of his start as he also fell, albeit to Craig Young, inside the powerplay overs.

Phil Salt minted 29 off 23 balls with two fours and a six and formed a counterattacking 57-run partnership with half-centurion Jordan Cox, who unleashed 55 runs from just 37 deliveries to top-score in the innings. While Cox was eventually cleaned up by Ben White, Tom Banton (37* off 26) and Rehan Ahmed (9* off 7) guided England to a comprehensive six-wicket win in just 17.1 overs.
