Currently playing his final Test series for Australia, opener David Warner is having a memorable outing against visiting Pakistan in the ongoing first match at Perth Stadium in Perth.
Warner, not pandering into all the Mitchell Johnson noise leading into the first Test, managed to slam his 26th red-ball ton on Day 1 of the Perth Test, helping the hosts gain control of the encounter.
The 37-year-old also managed to achieve a massive Test feat, leapfrogging over former captain Michael Clarke and former opener Australian Matthew Hayden's tally of 8,643 runs, and 8,625 runs, respectively.
Warner started the ongoing Test with 8,487 runs and perished on 8,651* runs, which include 26 hundred, three double-tons and 36 half-centuries.
Former two-time World Cup-winning captain Ricky Ponting leads the batting charts for the Baggy Greens' with 13,378 runs, while 1987 World Cup-winning skipper Allan Border comes second with 11,174 runs.
1999 World Cup winner Steve Waugh comes in at third place with 10,927 runs, followed by Steve Smith (9,351) and Clarke.

Warner started his Test career back in 2011 and became one of the very few players to make a smooth transition from T20 cricket to the traditional red-ball format. The explosive opener also has the distinction of carrying the bat through the innings, scoring centuries in both innings of a Test.
