Johnson Charles smacked 79 of those runs from just 45 deliveries with eight boundaries and five sixes to top-score in the innings before he was caught at long-on by Keemo Paul off Moeen Ali. Ace spinner Moeen Ali as well as fast bowlers Dwaine Pretorius and Shamar Joseph tilted the tide back in Guyana Amazon Warriors’ favor by claiming late wickets in the backend of the St Lucia Kings innings. Regular wickets also hampered SLK’s scoring rate, as they managed to get just 42 runs from their final five overs.

Moeen Ali, meanwhile, conceded just 24 runs off four overs in the high-scoring innings with the additional prized-scalps of Johnson Charles and Tim Seifert.

Belligerent number four Shimron Hetmyer (37* off 18 balls) launched four sixes to keep the chase alive from his end of the crease.
