Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz gifted Virat Kohli a bat made by the company he started alongside national teammate Imrul Kayes, ‘MKS Sports’. In turn, Kohli smilingly endorsed Hasan’s bat company, and urged the bat manufacturers to keep up the good work.

The two cricketers recently crossed paths in Chennai and Kanpur during India’s two-match Test series against Bangladesh. The hosts won both the Tests with convincing margins to seal the series 2-0.

Virat Kohli endorses Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s bat company

Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who started his own bat company alongside teammate Imrul Kayes last year, gifted Virat Kohli a bat soon after the completion of India’s two-match Test series against Bangladesh. In turn, the legendary Indian batter expressed his gratitude, even in Bengali language, and endorsed Mehidy Hasan’s company and urged their manufacturers to keep up with the good work.

Virat Kohli recently punched out scores of 47 and 29* across both innings of the rain-hit Kanpur Test against Bangladesh. Overall, he scored 99 runs in the two-match series at an average of 33. He was toppled by Mehidy Hasan Miraz in the second Indian innings of the series-opening first Test match at the Chepauk Stadium last month.

Kohli will soon be seen gracing the Indian colors once again for a three-match home Test series against New Zealand. He, alongside the rest of his national teammates, will subsequently take flight for Australia to play a blockbuster five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series later this year.

Each of the eight upcoming fixtures constitute a crucial part of the ongoing 2023-25 WTC cycle for Team India, as they bid to qualify for their third successive championship final next year.
