Just second after Hardik Pandya's unplayable over at Colombo, where he removed Babar Azam with a nip-backer, rain stopped the play on Monday. In a chase of 357 runs, Pakistan have been reduced to 44 for losing two wickets after 11 overs. The first blood was drawn by India's comeback man, Jasprit Bumrah.

Fortunately for the Men in Blue, the current rain will be a passing shower, and the play could restart in no time. However, if the rain doesn't permit the play to move forward from here, both teams will share one point each.

Meanwhile, as per the weather prediction applications, there's no sign of rain stoppage till 11:00 PM IST; however, as the sources present at the venue, the sky could get cleared quickly.

Talking about the ongoing fixture between arch-rivals - India and Pakistan, the game was pushed onto the reserve day (Monday) due to rain. But it didn't change the fortunes of Babar Azam & Co. as Virat Kohli and KL Rahul kept the momentum in India's favour, putting an unbeaten 233-run stand.

The bowlers continued from where the batters left as first Bumrah and then Pandya bowled jaffas to send back Iman-ul-Haq and Babar to the hut.

Nevertheless, the DLS target for Pakistan is 200 runs (in 20 overs), but for that to happen, the game would have to go on for at least nine more overs. The cut-off time for a 20-over chase is 11:15 PM IST.
