Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were at their scintillating best on Monday (September 11) in India’s Asia Cup Super Four match against Pakistan. Both racked up swashbuckling centuries and, in the process, accomplished an unprecedented feat leaving the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar behind.

Kohli and Rahul began their partnership when India lost well-set Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill in successive overs yesterday (September 10). They resumed on 147/2 on the reserve day, and eventually finished with 356/2 while displaying wide range of shots all over the ground.

The entertaining partnership between Kohli and Rahul remained unbroken after 233 runs. It was India's highest-ever partnership in any wicket against Pakistan in the 50-over format. They broke the record of Tendulkar and Navjot Sidhu, who stitched a 231-run stand for the second wicket in Sharjah in April 1996.
