When Virat Kohli caught Jonny Bairstow's catch, the Chinnaswamy stadium echoed with the thunderous cheers of the fans.

Bengaluru boasts one of the most passionate fan cultures in India, whether it's supporting the Royal Challengers Bengaluru or Bengaluru FC in football. Among them, RCB fans stand out for their unwavering support through thick and thin. The recent unboxing event and celebrations after the WPL win exemplify their dedication.

In a key moment during the match, in the third over, Mohammed Siraj was bowling to the explosive English batsman Jonny Bairstow of Punjab Kings. Bairstow had already hit a boundary off Siraj's good length ball. The following delivery, Bairstow sent another ball to the boundary, indicating his aggressive intent.

However, Siraj adjusted his length for the third ball, bowling it short of length. Bairstow, attempting a pull shot, mistimed it, sending the ball high towards cover where Kohli took the catch.

The stadium erupted in celebration as RCB claimed their first wicket at Chinnaswamy this year. The decibel meter recorded the sound, peaking at 124 dB. It was pure madness as Virat Kohli nearly collided with Maxwell while taking the catch.

After the early wicket of Bairstow, Captain Dhawan and Prabhsimran attempted to rescue Punjab Kings, but ex Punjab man Maxwell dismissed both of them with his bowling. Kohli took Dhawan's catch in Maxwell's bowling and Maxwell celebrated vigorously as Dhawan was posing a threat.

Why Chinnaswamy is crucial for RCB?

For every team, it's the fans that strengthen their resolve. The passionate cheers and steadfast support from the stands ignite the team and players alike. Chinnaswamy has witnessed some showman players over the years in Gayle, Kohli, AB de Villiers, Maxwell. Each of them thrives on the crowd's energy, which adds an extra punch to their game. RCB needs Chinnaswamy.
