Last year, Jasprit Bumrah, India's premier bowler, had to skip the IPL due to a stress injury. However, he made a remarkable comeback in the match against GT, even though his team ended up losing. Stuart Broad, the legendary English cricketer, can't help but heap praise on Bumrah, expressing his awe.

Yesterday Bumrah's figures stood at 4 overs, 0 maidens, conceding 14 runs, and taking 3 wickets, with an economy rate of 3.50. But surprisingly, it wasn't Bumrah who opened the bowling; instead, Captain Hardik Pandya took the initial overs, conceding runs in his first two.

Broad in awe of Bumrah

Stuart Broad suggests that Bumrah, sensing the need to change the game's momentum, requested the ball from Pandya for the fourth over. True to Broad's analysis, Bumrah struck in that over, delivering an exceptional ball that clean bowled Saha. While such feats are routine for Bumrah, they remain extraordinary by the standards of others.

“That’s what he does, it’s just his trademark. He will beat you with the pace. He will beat you with his trajectory. It’s an interesting one with the new ball, I feel like he asked to come on and get the first wicket of the day and set the tone,” Broad said on Star Sports.

Broad praised Bumrah's talent and skill, calling him the best in the world. He suggested it's up to Hardik and the MI management to make the most of Bumrah's abilities.

"But whatever he is going to use, he is going to be successful because of so much skill and so much talent. And it’s just up to Hardik and team and management to figure out exactly where that will work,” Broad added.

Australian cricket legend Steve Smith shared a similar view to Broad's. He praised Bumrah for his impressive comeback after missing the last season. Smith noted that Bumrah bowled exceptionally well, taking wickets and keeping the runs in check very effectively.
