Royal Challengers Bengaluru are playing their first home game of IPL 2024 and they have the perennial inconsistent performers Punjab Kings up against them.

RCB won the toss and decided to bowl first and have managed to pick wickets at regular intervals, reducing PBKS to 98-4 in the 13th over. The fourth one to go was PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan who scored 45 but could not really get going throughout his knock and finally was outfoxed by Maxwell.

It was the first ball of the 13th over and Maxwell tossed it up nicely on the off stump line. Dhawan danced down the track to hit it into the stands but mistimed it completely and ended up hitting it straight to Virat Kohli at long off.

Maxwell was ecstatic with the wicket as it was a big one of Dhawan who was well set and was looking to explode. The Aussie earlier also got the wicket of Prabhsimran Singh and is once again showing his credentials as a bowler.

At the time of writing, Punjab Kings are 132-4 at the end of 16 overs, and they need Jitesh Sharma and Sam Curran to blast away in the last four overs as they need at least 185 on a good batting deck.
