Chattogram Challengers take on the Durdanto Dhaka side in Match 36 of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 on Saturday (February 17). The Challengers lock horns with their Dhaka counterparts as the Chattogram leg of the BPL 2024 intensifies.

Even though, with just a solitary win after 11 league stage encounters, the Dhaka franchise is out of playoff contention, the Challengers are still in with a chance despite undergoing a rather unconvincing campaign. They've won five and lost five of their ten matches and stand fifth in the seven-team points table.

During the chase, wickets at regular intervals broke their backs despite Shepherd's fighting and aggressive knock of 66 not out in the lower-order middle. The Caribbean maverick couldn't take his team past 169/6 in the run-chase as they came out defeated by 18 runs.

For the Challengers to win and keep their title contentions going, they need a more all-round effort in the middle, and facing a struggling opponent such as Durdanto might just allow them to exert their dominance.

Durdanto Dhaka 

All that could've gone wrong throughout the campaign has for the Dhaka franchise, with a jaw-dropping 10 defeats and just one win in their 11 games. As they now head to their final game of the season, the Durdanto side would be hoping to finish off on a high note. 

The last match was familiar territory for them as their batting went miserably to reach only 128/7 versus the Khulna Tigers, and even as Shoriful Islam (2/17) and skipper Taskin Ahmed (2/27) bowled their spells superbly, the Tigers reached home inside 16 overs during the run-chase.
