Indian captain Rohit Sharma and his young teammate Shubman Gill had a great time enjoying ace speedster and lower-order batter Jasprit Bumrah smack England bowlers out of the park in the first-innings of the Rajkot Test on Day 2.

The great bowler, who has also worked extensively hard on his secondary skill, was in his aggressive avatar at the fag end of the Indian batting stint and hammered a priceless little knock of 26 off just 28 deliveries, including 3 fours and 1 six.

Employing his understated powerhiting game, Bumrah smashed the England spinners and pacers for an innings that helped India stretch their first-innings total to 445 via a critical tenth-wicket partnership worth 30 runs with Mohammed Siraj.

As Bumrah was giving the ball a full monte, the cameras panned towards the Indian dressing room, where skipper Rohit and Gill were seen having a great laugh inside the shed and joking as senior specialist batters watching the lower-order hero smash the ball to the ropes.

Bumrah's aggressive cameo created a light atmosphere in the Indian dressing room as the hosts extended their stay in the middle and gradually nudged towards the 450-run mark after opting to bat first upon winning the toss.

Indian fans watching the spirited No.10 clobber the ball out of the field would've felt reminded of Bumrah's great assault against former England speedster Stuart Broad, hitting a record 35 runs off an over versus the great bowler.

Bumrah would've been delighted to have contributed towards India's cause with the bat after missing out in the previous four innings of the Test series in Hyderabad and Vizag. But he has been more than making up for it with the ball, the modern-day ace taking 15 scalps and ensuring India levelled the rubber 1-1
