In a new leg of the Bangladesh Premier League 2024 season, Durdanto Dhaka will be up against Khulna Tigers for the 33rd fixture of the season. The two struggling sides will lock horns at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Friday from 1.30 PM onwards.

With the season embarking on its final lap, Durdanto Dhaka's campaign has more or less ceased to exist. A playoff qualification is nearly impossible, barring an unthinkable miracle.

Khulna Tigers

Khulna Tigers are in a relatively much better position. They are currently seated at the fifth spot on the points table, with eight points added to their tally.  However, the previous loss to Comilla Victorians was a huge blow to the Tigers' playoff push.

Batting first, Khulna Tigers couldn't put enough runs on the board. Almost every top-order batter got a start, but none couldn't convert it into a match-winning knock.

Ultimately, the target of 164 runs proved to be below par as the Victorians crushed the Tigers under 17 overs. 

Not only did the Tigers' run rate take a hit, but the loss of two crucial points could be decisive in Khulna's playoff push.

Regardless, the upcoming fixture against Durdanto Dhaka is a perfect opportunity for Khulna Tigers to get back to winning ways before time eventually runs out.
