In the 34th game of the ongoing World Cup 2023, the Netherlands are locking horns with the Afghanistan team. Despite having a great start, the Dutch are falling apart and are struggling to score runs. Rashid Khan, who is the premium Afghan spinner went off the field because of a strain.

The Dutch were 73 for one and were on the road to post a decent score against Afghanistan until four of the Dutch players got dismissed by run-outs. Max O'Dowd, who was starting to look good was run out by Azmatullah when he was on 42.

Ackerman and Sybrand Engelbrecht also got run-out, after they spent some time in the middle. Engelbrecht even smashed a half-century but threw his wicket. However, the Aghan bowlers bowled really well to restrict the Dutch side to a paltry 179.

Mujeeb ur Rahman, Mohammad Nabi and Noor Ahmed bowled brilliantly, picking up the remaining wickets. On the other hand, Rashid Khan went off the field owing to an injury scare. While walking towards the pavilion, Rashid was holding his left side of the hip and seemed to be in a little pain.

But he came back onto the field after the treatment and bowled his quota of overs brilliantly. Even though he went wicket-less, but his lines and length were on the money as he went for just 31 runs in his quota of ten overs. He must have had a strain or a minor muscle pull but now he looks fine as he bowled all his overs.

If Afghanistan wins this game, they might actually qualify for the semifinals if they can pull another upset against Australia or South Africa with whom they will be playing their last two games of the tournament.
