On Sunday, Suryakumar Yadav-led India won the toss and elected to bowl first against Sri Lanka at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. 

The newly-appointed Indian skipper, announced that young-gun Shubman Gill will be missing out on the 2nd T20I game due to a neck spasm. In his place wicket-keeper batter, Sanju Samson came in the Playing XI.

India have already won their first encounter and would look to seal the T20I series with a win today. On the other hand, Charith Asalanka and Co would hope to bounce back stronger and level the series in order to have a chance at winning the series in the 3rd game.

Suryakumar Yadav (India Captain): "We are looking to bowl first. There is a bit of weather around and the wicket played better in the second innings. There is always an area to improve. You try and keep improving every game. We have got one change. Shubman Gill woke up with a neck spasm and Sanju Samson comes in."

Moreover, a video uploaded by a fan confirms the news that Shubman had some issues with his neck in the first game during fielding.
