Bangladesh consigned hosts Sri Lanka to a huge 83-run defeat in the second T20I at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Sunday, July 13 to level the three-match series 1-1. Chasing 178 runs for a win, Sri Lanka bundled out for just 94 in 15.2 overs by capitulating their pursuit in front of Bangladesh spinner Rishad Hossain and fast bowlers Shoriful Islam and Mohammad Saifuddin.
Sri Lanka’s dismal batting effort in Dambulla marked their lowest ever total in T20Is at home, surpassing their 2012 effort from over a decade ago against Pakistan in Hambantota.
