On Day 4 of the ongoing third Test between India and England, the hosts were preparing for Jasprit Bumrah challenge, but Washington Sundar came out of the syllabus for the Ben Stokes-led side. Notably, the scores were levelled after the first innings, but the visitors stunned the Three Lions and reduced England to just 192 runs.
Tempers were flaring from the first ball since morning because of the last over drama on Day 3. Indian players were aggressive, elated and animated since the first session. Mohammed Siraj provided early breakthroughs, and England were reduced to 87/4.

However, Joe Root and Ben Stokes took the onus on their shoulders and the two senior stars stitched a 67-run stand for the fifth wicket. The stand hurt India, but Washington Sundar proved the crucial breakthrough as he rattled Root's timber.
One brings two, as Sundar got rid of Jamie Smith for a low score that brought India back in the match. The players were elated after two quick wickets, and so was Gautam Gambhir from the Lord's balcony as the India head coach was captured hurling abuse from the dressing room.
The moment went viral on the internet as Gambhir punched the fist in the air and was happy with his decision to include Sundar in the playing XI.
Washington Sundar Shatters England's Ego
Sundar was on a roll as the right-arm spinner took four wickets in the match. The star all-rounder took key wickets of Joe Root, Jamie Smith, Ben Stokes, and Shoaib Bashir.
Talking about the match, India are tasked to chase their highest-ever Test total in England, and the visitors are 53/2 with Shubman Gill and KL Rahul batting at the crease.
