Brief Scores: Bangladesh Women - 117-8 (20 Overs) [Dilara Akter: 39 (27), Nigar Sultana: 28 (36); Radha Yadav 2/22 (4), Shreyanka Patil 1/24 (4)] lost to India Women: 121-3 (18.3 Overs) [Shafali Verma: 51 (38), Smriti Mandhana: 47 (42); Rabeya Khan 1/24 (4), Ritu Moni 1/10 (2)] by 7 wickets.

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian women's side secured an unbeatable lead in the five-match T20I series by comfortably defeating Bangladesh by seven wickets in the one-sided third T20I. With this victory, the women in blue now hold a commanding 3-0 lead in the series.

Valiant effort by IND bowlers restrict BAN to a paltry total

Opting to bat first, Bangladesh started solidly in the powerplay, courtesy of Dilara Akter's impressive 39 off 27 balls.

Nigar Sultana struggled to 28 off 36 balls, while Sobhana Mostary added 15 runs off 20 balls. However, the innings lost momentum towards the end as the hosts finished at 117/8, with nine extras conceded by the fielding side.

Indian bowlers were disciplined and didn't give away any freebies in the middle overs. Radha Yadav was outstanding with figures of 2/22 in four overs. Shreyanka Patil, Pooja Vastrakar, and Renuka Singh Thakur each chipped in with a wicket.

Deepti Sharma remained wicketless but conceded only 18 runs in her four overs. Additionally, there were a few run-outs during the innings.

Shafali powers India to a clinical win

After limiting Bangladesh to a below-par score, India were clear favourites at the halfway mark. Shafali Verma's explosive batting set the tone early on, displaying a dazzling array of shots to capitalise on the field restrictions in the powerplay.

Her blistering innings of 51 off just 38 balls, adorned with eight fours, propelled India forward. Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana contributed 47 runs, falling just short of a half-century.

Following Shafali's dismissal, the scoring rate slowed down, with Mandhana and Dayalan Hemalatha departing as well. However, Harmanpreet Kaur and Richa Ghosh ensured India didn't have any further hiccup before going past the finish line.
