On Friday, Bangladesh will cross swords against Zimbabwe in the first match of the five-game T20I series. 

Led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, Bangladesh have named a robust squad, studded with dynamic batters like Tanzid Hasan, Litton Das, Towhid Hridoy apart from veteran all-rounder Mahmudullah. 

On the bowling front, the Tigers have Shoriful Islam, Taskin Ahmed and Ranzim Hasan Sakib, who can rattle the opponents with their pace and accuracy. 

Meanwhile, the recent form of Litton Das has emerged as a massive concern for the hosts heading to the series before the all-important T20 World Cup. In his last six T20I innings, Litton has managed only 138 runs at a dismal average. 

However, the stylish right-hander had a successful BPL 2024 season, emerging as the third most successful batter with 391 runs at a strike rate of 130.76. 

Therefore, considering his impressive run in the tournament, Litton is expected to get an opportunity in the first game as it's a crucial series to fine-tune Bangladesh's World Cup preparation. 

The keeper-batter will likely open alongside Tanzid Hasan Tamim, with skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto slotted at number three. 

Towhid Hridoy, who top scored for Comilla Victorians in BPL 2024, will likely come in at number four, followed by the reliable duo of Mahmudullah and Afif Hossain. 

In absence of Mehidy Miraz, Mahedi Hasan will play as the spin bowling all-rounder. He will be followed by four genuine bowling options - Taskin Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Rishad Hossain and Shoriful Islam.
