The first semi-final of the Men’s Asian Games T20 2023 will be played between India and Bangladesh on Friday, October 6 at Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field, Hangzhou.

India crushed Nepal by 23 runs in the Asian Games quarterfinal, booking a spot in the semifinal. India batted first, piling up a massive 202 runs in just 20 overs, thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal's incredible century and Rinku Singh’s finishing touch. In the second half of the game, R Sai Kishore, Ravi Bishnoi, and Avesh Khan held their ground to defend the total. 

Bangladesh

Meanwhile, Bangladesh narrowly edged out Malaysia by just two runs in a nail-biting fourth quarterfinal, securing their spot in the semifinals. They batted first and could only muster 116 runs while losing five wickets. In response, their bowlers successfully defended the total, although at one point, it seemed like Malaysia might chase it down. In the end, Malaysia fell short by just two runs.
