The ICC World Cup 2023 is set to kick off on October 5, with the opening match of the tournament scheduled to feature the defending champions, England, facing off against the runners-up from the last edition, New Zealand, at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. 

The tournament will run for 46 days and will see a total of ten teams, namely India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Australia, England, New Zealand, Netherlands, and South Africa vying for the men’s one-day international (ODI) cricket championship in the final on November 19. 

Meanwhile, before the ICC World Cup 2023 kicks off, Dream11, the official, the lead sponsor for the Indian cricket team, have released a new promo for the tournament which features India’s wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant and all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

In a tragic turn of events, Rishabh Pant was involved in a severe car accident on the eve of New Year's last year while heading back to his Uttarakhand residence. This unfortunate incident forced him out of cricket for nearly a year. 

Nearly nine months since the accident, Rishabh Pant is showing significant signs of improvement and is on the path to recovery. He is currently at the NCA, Bengaluru dedicating himself to rigorous fitness and rehabilitation. 

Meanwhile, India will kick off their World Cup 2023 campaign against Australia on October 8 at Chennai. The much-anticipated India vs Pakistan match is set to be played on October 14 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
