It is a great day for the cricket fans as Virat Kohli was in action for RCB against RR at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in match 42 of IPL 2025. Further, April 24 also marked the 52nd birthday of the master blaster, Sachin Tendulkar. 

For a cricket fan to see Virat Kohli play on his idol and arguably cricket's biggest star Sachin Tendulkar's birthday is a big deal. In the ongoing match, Kohli didn't let his idol down and nearly missed out on his ninth IPL century and returned to the pavilion with a score of 70 (42).

How Has Kohli Played On Sachin's Special Day?

For the unversed, it is not the first time that Kohli got to bat in the IPL on Sachin's birthday, rather it was the sixth occasion in IPL that Virat got to bat on Sachin's birthday and this is how he has performed on the special occasion. 

The first time was in 2009, but Virat failed to make a mark and scored just 2 (3). Kohli's best performance came in 2016 when he smashed a century and scored an unbeaten 100 (63), which is his only century on Sachin's birthday. Here is the complete list.
