In the ongoing IPL 2025 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Josh Hazlewood has taken the IPL by storm as he registered a four-wicket haul to go level with GT's Prasidh Krishna in the purple cap race. 

Notably, Josh registered the figures of 4/33 and with that feat he now has 16 IPL 2025 wickets, the same as Prasidh Krishna. However, the purple cap will stay with Krishna because of a better economy. Krishna has an economy of 7.29, while Hazlewood has an economy of 8.42. Josh Hazlewood With A Season To Remember

RCB are having a great season as they are third on the table with six wins in nine matches. Most of the credit behind this success should also go towards Hazlewood, who had breathed fire in every match. Further, Hazlewood is on course to surpass his best IPL season which was 2022 where he took 20 wickets. 

Nonetheless, Hazlewood will have the chance to go past Krishna and don the purple cap as RCB will play their next match before Gujarat Titans. Notably, RCB will next face Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley stadium on April 27. 

Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans have their next match on April 28 when they face Rajasthan Royals.
