On Thursday, April 24 Royal Challengers Bengaluru locked horns against Rajasthan Royals at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in IPL 2025 match 42. In the ongoing match, RCB, batting first, put 205 runs on the board. In reply, Rajasthan got off to a brilliant start as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi stitched a fifty-runs stand for the first wicket.

Talking about Yashasvi Jaiswal, the southpaw started the innings in style as he whacked a six off the first ball of the innings. It is worth noting that Jaiswal has become the third player in IPL history to slam a six off the first ball of the innings at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

It is worth noting that Jaiswal joined the likes of Virat Kohli and Mayank Agarwal to hit a six off the first ball at the Chinnaswamy. Here is the complete list.

Further, it is worth noting that Jaiswal has become the first non-RCB batter to hit a six off the first ball at RCB's home ground. Before Jaiswal, no other batter from the opposition had scripted this feat. 

Overall, it is the third time that Yashasvi has hit a six on the first ball of an innings in IPL. He leads the race as no other batter has achieved this feat more than once. Talking about the ongoing match, at the time of writing this article, Rajasthan Royals are going strong and are 87/2 after 7 overs and still require 119 runs to win in 78 balls.
