Usman Khan has been awarded the Player of the Match award for his 59-ball 106*, where he stuck 10 boundaries and 5 maximums - helping Multan Sultans win the game by 20 runs.

KRK vs MS, Live Score: Summary

Another heartbreak for Karachi Kings as they have to win four of their four remaining fixture to stay alive in the tournament. But, the day belonged to Multan Sultans, who had it covered from ball one. Usman Khan and skipper Rizwan laid the partnership with a 148-run stand as the former smashed a fine, fine ton to become first MS batter to score a century in the PSL.

Meanwhile, with the ball, it was the spin twins of Usama Mir and Khushdil Shah, who delivered at the right time as if not for them - Malik and Masood could have taken the game away from the Sultans. Interestingly, Usama Mir has received the 'Fazal Mahmood' cap for the most wickets taken in the season (15).

However, all in all, it was yet another clinical day at the office for the table-toppers.

KRK vs MS, Live Score: Multan Sultan qualify for playoffs

Four runs on the last game but Multan Sultans have won the game by 20 runs. AND THEY QUALIFY FOR PLAYOFFS!!! What a night it was for the Mohammad Rizwan-led side - first it was the blistering show put by Usman Khan, followed by the clinical bowling led by Usama Mir.

Mohammad Ali gets his well deserved wicket. Short delivery outside the off stump. Hasan pulls but doesn't get either elevation nor distance. Tayyab Tahir at deep midwicket runs in, sits on a knee and takes a sitter. KRK - 165/7 with one ball to go.

Mohammad Ali to bowl the last over. He starts off with a yorker. That's a dot ball, and game is mathematically over for KRK now. A last over wicket for Ali - Hasan Ali chips it to Tahir.

Nawaz is playing his hand in the chase but the game is almost over for the Kings. He smashes Jordan through the point for a boundary, but that has to artificial excitement in this game. Hasan Ali cracks a maximum to pin the over. KRK - 158-6 after 19 overs.

Last ray of hope for Karachi is also gone. Irfan Khan Niazi is been pinned out by David Willey. Short ball into the batter, Niazi goes for the pull and gets a faint tickle on this one through to the keeper. Appeal for a catch and the batter is walking. KRK - 124/6 after 16.2 overs.

KRK vs MS, Live Score: KRK not letting it go easily

Irfan Khan Niazi has come out with a task set in his head. Throws the kitchen sink at young Faisal Akram to collect two fours and a maximum off the 14th over. 75 runs more to get but this game is far from over. KRK - 116/5 after 14 overs.

The combo of Usama Mir and Rizwan has the last laugh against du Plooy. His struggle ends. He looks to loft it over covers but does not get hold it and ends up chipping it straight to Rizwan at covers who takes a simple catch. KRK - 99/5 after 13.6 overs.

Khushdil Shah strikes and gets rid of Malik. Shoaib Malik knew it from the moment he hit the ball. The veteran all-rounder steps out and looks to smash it over long on but does not get the elevation on it and the fielder at long on takes a simple catch. KRK - 89/4 after 11.4 overs.

KRK vs MS, Live Score: Umpire's call saves du Plooy

A googly by Usama Mir and it gets the left-handed batter as he steps down the track. The umpire is unmoved by Rizwan goes upstair. Pitching in line, impact in line but wickets were umpire's call. That saves Leus du Plooy. KRK - 86/3 after 11 overs.

Is it the twist in the tale? Usama brings up his magic, bowls a leg-break, Shan Masood tries to hoick it out of the park but misses the variation and it ends up hits his timber. Three down for the Kings. KRK - 75/3 after 9 overs, they need 115 runs to win.

Mir drops it short on ball one, Malik waits for it and pulls it down to deep fine leg for a boundary. But, the leggie ties it up on the following balls. Just 9 runs off it. KRK - 62/2 after 7 overs.

A small partnership has begun to cook for Karachi. The two experienced pros - Masood and Malik - are building a fine stand for KRK after the two quick wickets. A partnership of 25 runs between the duo, the Kings are at 53/2 after 6 overs, with 137 runs to get.

What a start for Chris Jordan. Jordan gets rid of his fellow English man. Slightly fuller and outside the off stump. Vince gets on the front foot looking to drive away from the body. Minimum footwork on this one. Gets a soft outside edge that carries to the keeper. Rizwan makes no mistake behind the stumps. KRK - 28/2 after 3.2 overs.

Shan Masood showing intent in the chase. First, he converted a single into a brace and then smashed boundary off the last ball of Willey's second over. KRK in it? Too early to say that! KRK - 26/1 after 3 overs.

KRK vs MS, Live Score: Englishman vs Englishman

And Vince gets off with the mark. Full and wide outside the off stump. Vince lunges forward and throws his hands to the ball. Lofts it up and over point. Backward point and deep third man chase the ball but in vain. KRK - 19/1 after 2.1 overs.

Direct hit at the bowling end and Tim Seifert's struggling. KRK openers tried a tight run but that can't complete the might. Replay comes in and it's a simple one for the TV umpire, Seifert is short by a yard when the stumps are hit. OUT loads on the big screen. KRK - 6/1 after 1.3 overs.

He gets a short ball into his body and he goes for it. Pulls it, mistimes it, and straight towards Nawaz... but just inches over him. It goes through it hands. AND THAT WOULD THE TON FOR USMAN KHAN. He is pumped up and does the Sajda.

Just a wicket and 5 runs off the penultimate over. Usman still strangled in the 90s. And would be two spellbinding overs for Karachi Kings on a trot. Can they make it three and end the innings on a high? MS - 176/3 after 19 overs.

A fantastic grab by Niazi. Ahmed looks to pull it over deep mid wicket but does not get the required elevation and hits it straight to the fielder positioned at mid wicket. He takes it on a rebound and Ahmed departs for 4. Usman Khan is losing partners from the other end and that is pulling down Multans' score. MS - 171/3 after 18.1 overs.

Muzarabani breaks the partnership. Rizwan reaches for it and hits to straight to fielder positioned at mid off. A brilliant knock from him comes to end. Second wicket finally down for Multan Sultans. Iffi Mania walks out to bat at no. 4! MS - 164/2 after 17.1 overs.

Drops it short, just outside off, Khan rocks back and cuts it towards cover point for a boundary. A brace off the last ball, MS take 20 runs off that, Usman goes to 83. MS - 138-1 after 15 overs.

No problem that for Usman. He slams a gigantic slog over mid wicket for a maximum. Malik drops it short, Khan rocks back and pulls it powerfully towards deep mid wicket for a maximum. The experienced all-rounder's wife is in the crowd and she is not too pleased with that. MS - 110/1 after 13 overs.

A single in the leg side. And with that single Usman Khan brings up his half-century and Multan's 100. A 96 against Lahore the other night and now, this 50 against KRK. This kid is in some form!!! MS - 102-1 after 11 overs.

Multan Sultans on top at the moment. 87/1 at the end of 10 overs. This partnership is looking dangerous at the moment and Karachi need to find a way to break this partnership. Spinners will be crucial for the next 5 overs.

A blockbuster start to the over from Khan! Nawaz gets the hammering. The batter dances down the track and lifts it over the deep cover boundary for the first MAXIMUM of the match. Another boundary off the over and they make it a HUGE one. 17 runs off the 10th over. MS - 87/1 after 10 overs.

Usman wears his dancing shoes on against Zahid Mahmood but mistimes the hoick. Luckily for him, the ball falls well short of the man at cow corner. Now, Rizzy takes his chance but mistimes... and again, he falls in no man's land. They are trying their luck against Mahmood but nothing off them. MS - 70/1 after 9 overs and 50-run stand between Usman and Rizwan.

Was it? Zahid Mahmood comes to bowl his first over of the game. The leggie dishes some tasty stuff up there, but Rizwan and Usman rotate him nicely. 3 runs off the overs, both teams will take that. But KRK need a wicket ASAP! MS - 53/1 after 7 overs.

The Sultans, who are sitting on the top of the points table, have an edge over the Kings - even before the start of the game.
