In a stunning display of power-hitting, Usman Khan of Multan Sultans bamboozled Karachi Kings with the second PSL century. Usman, who missed out on a hundred by four runs in the previous fixture, continued his dominance in the Karachi leg and accomplished the unfinished business.

After a doubleheader washout in Rawalpindi, cricket resumed in PSL with the Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings matchup in the National Stadium of Karachi. The Sultans opted to bat first on a flat wicket but lost opener Reeza Hendricks early into the innings.

Regardless, last game's hero, Usman Khan, came out at number 3 to stabilise things alongside captain Mohammad Rizwan.

Initially, Usman took his time to settle in and avoided punching any rash shots. But once the batter got familiar with the conditions, there was no going back. 

Interestingly, Usman was coming off a sensational game against Lahore Qalandars, where he missed out on a well-deserved hundred by a mere four runs. Regardless, his innings made the difference as Multan locked yet another convincing 60-run victory.

Meanwhile, against the Kings, the batter continued his sublime form and picked up where he had left off. 

The batter had picked his targets, Hasan Ali and Mohammad Nawaz. He played some awe-inspiring shots and unleashed an absolute onslaught on the Karachi bowling lineup. 

Usman raced through his half-century in just six overs. But he wasn't ready to switch off gears just yet. 

He intended to bat deep and bore the fruits of his resilience. In the final over, he smoked a short ball off Mir Hamza over the deep square leg boundary, where Nawaz fumbled a half chance. 

The ball beat him and went over the ropes to award Usman a well-deserved second century of PSL career. Usman Khan walked off to a heroic reception by his teammates and the crowd alike.

That said, this year, the Pakistani-origin UAE batter has been the man with a golden bat for Multan Sultans. As the Sultans race towards a top finish, Usman's contributions will be crucial to the franchise's successful run.
