Karachi Kings' key team member Kieron Pollard has recently taken a break from the ongoing ninth season of Pakistan Super League 2024. The batting all-rounder has recently departed from Pakistan to attend India’s Royal Wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

The Caribbean all-rounder is expected to stay on a break for four days from the Pakistan’s franchise cricket league to attend the wedding festivities of India’s wealthiest man’s son in India.

Pollard and the Ambani’s have developed a long-term association since the all-rounder was introduced to the Mumbai Indians team franchise in the Indian Premier League.

The Caribbean batsman has been an integral part of the MI Squad irrespective of the location of the franchise tournament. Kieron Pollard leads MI Emirates and MI New York in ILT20 and Major League Cricket respectively. After Pollard was released from the Mumbai Indians squad, the batsman now features as the team’s batting coach in the IPL.

Kieron Pollard Leaves for India; to miss the next match against Multan Sultans

Kieron Pollard has remained one of the key driving factors for Karachi Kings. The team has managed to win only two games in the five matches they have played and currently stands at number 5 on the points table. In the five innings he has played for Karachi Kings, Pollard has scored 196 runs at a whopping strike rate of 161.98.

Pollard is set to miss the team’s upcoming match against Multan Sultans on 3rd March at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. He is expected to land on 4th March in Rawalpindi to prepare well for the team’s next match against the Quetta Gladiators on 6th March.

The Caribbean batter left the Karachi Kings squad after the team lost their previous match against Quetta Gladiators on 29th February. The Gladiators won their fourth match of the league stage by five wickets. Pollard scored 13 runs in the game after he took off to join the pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar the following day.

The following will be a huge blow for the team franchise as their star player, Kieron Pollard, is currently the joint highest six hitter in the tournament alongside Lahore Qalandars' Rassie van der Dussen, who has smashed 12 sixes in the season.
