Bollywood actor Urvashi Rautela has become the first female actor to unveil the Cricket World Cup 2023 trophy near the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. She can be seen posing with the trophy in a body-hugging beige dress.

Urvashi shared the picture on social media with the caption - "With the deepest humility, I am honoured to be the FIRST ACTOR TO OFFICIALLY LAUNCH & UNVEIL the 'CRICKET WORLD CUP 2023 TROPHY' AT THE EIFFEL TOWER IN PARIS, FRANCE. Thank you @ICC @cricketworldcup @francecricket 🏏"

Rautela is the first female actor to unveil the trophy, but the first actor to do so was Shah Rukh Khan.

The trophy's world tour was launched on June 27. The coveted silverware has been traveling to various countries including USA, Kuwait, Bahrain, Malaysia and France to be showcased at different venues for the fans to see it.

The 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup will be the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup. It is scheduled to be hosted in India from 5 October to 19 November 2023. It will be the first men's Cricket World Cup to be hosted solely by India. The country had earlier co-hosted the event in 1987, 1996, and 2011.

The opening game, the final game and the India vs Pakistan game will be played in Ahmedabad. Mumbai and Kolkata will host the semifinals.

"Cricket unites India like no other sport and excitement is building across the country as we prepare to host the 10 best teams in the world over six weeks of heart-stopping cricket," BCCI secretary Jay Shah was quoted as saying by ICC.
