Sofia Hayat, who was once rumoured to have dated Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma, is a British actress, singer, and model who gained recognition for her appearances in various Indian television shows and reality programs.

Born in 1984, in Gravesend, Kent, England, Hayat started her career as a model in the UK and became known for her work in various fashion campaigns and publications.

She entered the Indian entertainment industry in the mid-2000s. Hayat appeared in several Indian TV shows, including "Bigg Boss 7".

She has also acted in Indian films, including "Diary of a Butterfly" and "The Unforgettable" and also released a song titled "Main Ladki Hoon" in 2015.


When Hayat rejected Rohit Sharma

Hayat has also been known for making bold and controversial statements on various topics, including her relationships. In one of her tweets from many years ago, Hayat mentioned that she had dated Rohit Sharma, while also mentioning that she wouldn't date him ever again as she was looking for a gentleman.

Hayat had also once claimed to have been kissed by Rohit in their very first meeting at a club in London.

“I met him in a club in London. I was celebrating the wrap of a movie I had done. I was dancing when a friend of mine from the movie’s set introduced us. My friend told me ‘he is Rohit Sharma’ but I really didn’t know as I don’t see cricket much. Anyway, we got talking to each other and soon moved over to a quieter place in the club. It went pretty quickly from there. He kissed me. It was pretty nice. After that, we danced together,” Hayat said in an interview to Spotboye.

Sofia, who later turned into a nun, later got married to model Vlad Stanecu. Rohit, meanwhile, got married to Ritika Sajdeh in 2015.
