Mohammed Siraj bowled Team India to a historic six-run victory on a thrilling Day 5 of the series-deciding fifth Test against England at The Oval. Defending just 35 runs on the final day, Siraj picked up three of the four available wickets to deliver the knockout blow to the hosts as the speedster finished with five for the innings and nine for the match.

After the match, the 31-year-old also learned some social media tricks from younger teammate Arshdeep Singh.

In a candid moment after the match, Mohammed Siraj was spotted learning some social media tricks from Arshdeep Singh. Arshdeep instructed Siraj to smile and say “Pressure, what pressure?” for his next Instagram post.

When Siraj asked if he should upload it as an Instagram story or a post, Arshdeep jubilantly responded: “Reel”. Arshdeep jokingly concluded their conversation by saying:

“Have to teach everything to him apart from bowling.”

Mohammed Siraj Skittles England On Day 5

England started off Day 5 at 339-6 to find themselves just another 35 runs away from a victory with as many as four wickets in hand. However, Mohammed Siraj struck early in the morning with the wickets of both overnight batters, Jamie Smith and Jamie Overton in quick succession.

Prasidh Krishna also bagged his fourth wicket of the innings by cleaning up Josh Tongue with a peach. Gus Atkinson scored some valiant runs while batting with the tail to take England closer to victory. At a time when the Englishmen required just seven more runs, Atkinson had his off-stump clattered by Mohammed Siraj, who finished the innings with figures of 5-104 from 30.1 overs.

Siraj also snared a sensational match haul of 9-190 to bag the ‘Player of the Match’ award.
