Actress Surveen Chawla stole social media limelight, not with a movie trailer, but with a sentimental message regarding Indian cricket. Surveen joined the cricket conversation with a strong message: stop comparing and start celebrating individuals.

Team India is undergoing a transitional phase with legends like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma retiring from the T20I and Test formats. Under new captain Shubman Gill, the team levelled the 5-game Test series against England 2-2, but the players have been regularly compared to their predecessors.

Surveen Chawla Makes A Heartfelt Plea To Stop Comparing Indian Cricketers

In a powerful social media message, Bollywood actress Surveen Chawla said that she is tired of fans and media constantly comparing two players, whether it’s between current stars like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma or between the older generation and the new ones like Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Shubman Gill.

She believes that every player brings something unique to the team. Instead of pitting them against each other, fans should allow them to shine as themselves.

Surveen calls for a balanced approach, like honouring those who have retired or are close to the end of their years (such as Kohli or Rohit), and celebrating current achievers and nurturing future stars.

The actress wants to break this toxic habit of always comparing players, which often turns into fan wars and negativity.

Surveen Congratulates Team India For Oval Test Win

Actress Surveen Chawla took to social media to applaud Team India’s sensational victory over England in the fifth Test in what she described as one of the best Test matches she has ever witnessed. She showered the young Indian squad with praise for their courage, echoing their never-give-up attitude and ability to fight back under pressure.

"What a performance by this young blazing Indian team ! What a win ! By far one of the best test matches I have seen.. The guts, the grit , the BELIEF ( as our DSP puts it )…the comebacks , the Never Give Up attitude… the list goes on ..Take a bow India! Leading from the front @ShubmanGill … and a new man standing up every single game .. And that’s what is extraordinary! For the history books …!"

Giving a special shout-out to Shubman Gill for leading from the front, she was impressed at how a new hero seems to be created in every match, this team being very special.
