Notably, Shahrukh Khan was not the only prominent Indian personality to attend the iconic venue for the World Cup 2023 final. The legendary actor was spotted enjoying India’s batting at the stands alongside the likes of fellow Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Asha Bhosle.

Moreover, Bollywood actresses Anuskha Sharma and Athiya Shetty, the spouses of Indian cricketers Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, also attended the stadium to showcase their support for the ‘Men in Blue’.

On the cricketing front, Australian skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to field first. Indian captain Rohit Sharma launched the proceedings with yet another powerplay bombardment, as his 31-ball 47 took India to yet another scintillating start in the first 10 overs.

However, Sharma’s dismissal and Shreyas Iyer’s subsequent early departure reduced the Indian top order at 81-3 in 10.2 overs. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul anchored the innings thereafter with their 67-run fourth-wicket stand, where Kohli himself scored a cautious 54 to mark his ninth fifty-plus score of the tournament.

By the end of their first 35 overs, Team India reached 173-4 with Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja batting at the crease.
