Team India shows no signs of slowing down in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023, securing their seventh consecutive victory by defeating Sri Lanka in a one-sided affair by 302 runs. With this, they have now become the first team to qualify for the semifinals in the marquee event. 

Sri Lanka rolled the dice by letting India have a go with the bat, and it turned into an invitation to disaster. With incredible half-centuries from stars like Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Shreyas Iyer, Team India managed to put up a mammoth 357 runs for the loss of eight wickets. 

As for the reply, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj teamed up and absolutely tore through the Sri Lankan batters. They cleaned them up for a mere 55 runs in 19.4 overs. Mohammed Shami bagged a fantastic five-wicket haul, and Mohammed Siraj claimed a three-wicket haul. This marks Shami’s second five-wicket haul in this tournament. 

Meanwhile, in the middle of the match, former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif took to Twitter to share a heartwarming video. He and Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi were both in the video, looking excited as they predicted which team could give India a tough time in this tournament. 

Vivek Oberoi is of the opinion that no team in the current World Cup 2023 can defeat Team India, given their unbroken winning streak in the tournament. He predicts that India will emerge as champions, finally breaking their ten-year dry spell without a ICC trophy.

The next big clash for Team India is against a South African team that has been on fire. This match is scheduled for November 5 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, and it's a doubly special day as it's also the 35th birthday of former Indian captain Virat Kohli.
