India's most celebrated spin duo, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin recently shared a moment that left fans in awe of their wonderful camaraderie and mutual respect.

During a ceremony organized by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association to honour Ashwin's remarkable achievements of reaching 500 Test wickets and playing in his 100th Test match, Jadeja took the opportunity to express his admiration and congratulations in a manner that evoked the legendary style of Tamil cinema icon Rajinikanth.

Jadeja commends Ashwin on recent milestones in true Rajinikanth fashion

Ravindra Jadeja, appearing via video, couldn't hold back his admiration for Ashwin's contribution to Indian cricket.

"Hi Ash anna, congratulation on your 100th Test match and 500 Test wickets. I am very, very happy for you, and your contribution to Indian cricket has been amazing. You can continue taking a lot of wickets and sharing your mastermind with me so that I can also take few wickets and become a great legend like you," said Jadeja.

The highlight of Jadeja's message was his clever invocation of a Rajinikanth classic, 'Thillu Mullu,' drawing a parallel between their partnership and the film's lead characters, Indran and Chandran. As they share first name, ‘Ravi’, Jadeja humorously assigned themselves the roles:

"And we also share same name as well. I am Ravi Indran and you're Ravi chandran. Meesha vachavan Indran, meesha vaykathavan Chandran (The one with the moustache Indran and the one without the moustache, Chandran.)" added the southpaw.

This reference to the 1981 hit, a remake of the Bollywood film 'Gol Maal,' highlighted the duo's dynamic synergy on the field.

It is worth mentioning that the partnership between Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja has been nothing short of sensational, setting records and elevating Indian cricket.

With a combined tally of 542 wickets in just 53 matches, they have surpassed the legendary pairing of Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh, becoming the most successful spin duo in Test cricket history. Their remarkable average of 10.23 wickets per match is proof of their dominance.
