Ahead of the start of the Cricket World Cup 2023 opener, ICC invited all captains of the ten participating nations to a Captain's Day event in Ahmedabad, for which Pakistan skipper Babar Azam flew in from Hyderabad.
Babar, who is leading Pakistan for the first time in a 50-over World Cup, looked quite comfortable on stage and interacted with the likes of Jos Buttler, Ravi Shastri, and Rohit Sharma.
Such gatherings are occasions where ICC ensures that captains can interact with social media influencers and maintain hype and engagement around the tournament.
Azam also chimed in and interacted with a Punjabi influencer, where the star-batter could be mimicking funny dialogues from hit Punjabi movies.
In the now-viral clip, the 28-year-old could also be heard humming the lines from the late Punjabi artist Sidhu Moosewala's song.
The anchor starts the line" Dil Da Ni Mada..", to which Azam replies, "Tera Sidhu Moosewala."

At the same event, Azam spoke about how Team Pakistan's time in India has been thus far. Pakistan landed in Hyderabad last week and has since been stationed in the city, where they will play their first two World Cup 2023 encounters.
Pakistan will face off against the Netherlands tomorrow and meet Sri Lanka this coming Tuesday.
Both encounters will be held at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, which also hosted Pakistan's warm-ups games.
