Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma recently lit up a rapid-fire session with presenter Jatin Sapru for Adidas India, where he didn't just hit it out of the park with his answers but also gave fans a glimpse into his lighter side.

The highlight of the session was undoubtedly when Rohit Sharma, known for his explosive batting, channelled one of Bollywood's most memorable characters.


Rohit Sharma mimics Sanjay Dutt from 'Vaastav' 

In a display of his acting chops, he mimiced Sanjay Dutt’s legendary character from "Vaastav," complete with the character's iconic dialogue “50 Tola” and “Aee Maaa”. 

This imitation was not only a hit during the session but also reminded of a previous instance where the Indian captain had embraced the same character.

Last year, Rohit had shared a video on his Instagram where he donned the "Vaastav" avatar—white kurta-pyjama paired with a blue Nehru jacket and the signature gold chain and shades—during an advertisement shoot with fellow cricketers Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill.

The video went viral, highlighting the Indian skipper’s fondness for the film and its lead character, which is considered one of Sanjay Dutt’s most iconic roles.

Beyond the laughs, Rohit also divulged some lesser-known tidbits about himself, including a secret talent and a celebrity he’d love to meet.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma is set to lead India in the highly anticipated T20 World Cup 2024. As the team prepares to kick off their campaign against Ireland on June 5, his batting and leadership will be key assets in rallying the players and the nation’s hopes for another world title.
