KL Rahul and Virat Kohli's bond dates back to over a decade, and since then the bond between them has been an affectionate display of brotherhood. Recently, KL Rahul also shared how the RCB star helps him push through off the field too.

While giving an interactive interview to Humans of Bombay, KL Rahul shared how Virat Kohli pushed him in the gym while they were training together.

During a light-hearted conversation in the video, host Jatin Sapru asked KL Rahul, “So when you work out, do you guys work out yourselves or do you have a workout buddy?”

KL Rahul replied, “There is no particular buddy, we work out as a team in the gym...”

Sapru then asked, “Who is the worst person to work out with? I am presuming Virat…”

Rahul responded smiling, “I enjoyed working out with Virat Kohli. He gets competitive. There’s quite a competitiveness among us.”

Jatin Sapru followed up by asking who the “gym bro” in the Indian cricket team is.

“It’s Virat only. But he is not the local gym wala gym bro. He is the bro that will push you. Who will pass you by and make you feel like you are not pushing enough,” KL Rahul replied

In the video, KL Rahul also shared how Virat Kohli helped him push through challenging conditions during his first World Cup game in Chennai. On a hot and humid day, Rahul had kept wickets and later told Virat that he was “cooked and zonked and his body is giving up”.

“We somehow pushed each other and got through with two overs and two overs. That was the most challenging even for Kohli,” Rahul recalled on the bond from early days.

Nevertheless, Kohli is a fitness freak, and KL Rahul, who just came off after the 1st Test against South Africa at Eden Gardens, is one too.

Though Virat Kohli retired from two formats of the game, his diet and fitness regimen are something that youngsters look up to. As of now, the India star will be gearing up to play the 1st ODI against South Africa, which is slated for November 30.
