Team India's young Test captain, Shubman Gill, has once again become the talk of the town, this time not for his batting, but for a brand-new tattoo. The Punjab cricketer, known for his style and personality, was recently spotted relaxing in a Dubai pool with teammate Hardik Pandya.

A picture of the two quickly went viral, but fans noticed something else in the frame: Gill’s fresh tattoo. The tattoo appears to be ‘i>^v’. Notably, it is not his first tattoo, Gill also has one on the left side of his chest, which appears to depict an angel with folded hands, featuring wings that.

The image sparked a buzz online, with some even debating whether it was a real tattoo or just an AI-generated edit. Either way, it has caught everyone’s attention.

So, what does the tattoo mean?

According to several reports, the artwork symbolises the message “I’m greater than my highs and lows.”

This simple yet powerful line reflects Gill’s mindset as an athlete who faces constant ups and downs on the field. The tattoo seems to be a reminder for him to stay grounded and focused, no matter the situation, whether celebrating success or dealing with challenges.

At just 26, Gill is not only a key figure in India’s cricket future but also someone who inspires fans with both his game and his attitude. Currently, he is part of India’s Asia Cup 2025 squad in Dubai, where he has been named vice-captain under skipper Suryakumar Yadav for the T20I side.

So far, Shubman Gill has scored 82 runs in four innings, maintaining an impressive strike rate of 157.69.
